Transitioning Clothes From Summer to Fall

If you are like me you probably like your children to wear their clothes(especially boutique clothes) for as long as possible. Believe it or not a lot of what your child has in his/her closet can be transitioned from summer to fall with the right pieces. I have found that in doing this you save a little bit of money and you get to enjoy those special pieces just a little bit longer. Also, seek out brands like Right Bank Babies(one of our favorites) that are cut so that dresses can become tops and pants can become capris. Shop Belle a Mom Owned Small Business

  If you are looking for an amazing online childrens boutique try Shop Belle! Maria, the shops owner, has the most amazing pieces from the world! I discovered this little boutique around April of last year and if i'm not mistaken that is the same month in which they launched! I must admit Shop Belle was one of my inspirations for starting my own boutique  I decided that as a mom I wanted to leave something that my kids could one day inherit. In some ways  don't mind blogging about other more experienced boutiques because we all need to be in support of one another to make it work and whats for you is for you and NO ONE can take that away! I am a FIRM believer in supporting other people.

 The clothes selection in this shop are like no other i've seen.When i'm looking for beautiful, rare, and classic pieces I shop there. They offer boy and girl sizes from 0 to 8 years and even have a selection of accessories and shoes. Their sister store Little Choux is amazing too! They offer childrens wear,decor, toys and more! Misha Lulu went to Church

We couldn't wait for Sunday to get here so we could wear our first dress by Misha Lulu. I purchased it from www.mylittlejules.com because I wanted her to have a few more dresses.Dallas has gotten really tall this year and has out grown a lot of her things. I bought a size 10(ONLY for the length)she usually wears a 7/8, so it ended up being too wide. So since I am learning to sew and everything I decided to take it in but so that it can be brought back out once she grows in to it! This dress was too cute to return and besides I bought it on clearance and  couldn't! And the plan is to transition into the fall with a black long sleeve shirt,leggings,tights or knee highs. When I buy spring/summer clothes for my girls I tend to look for clothes that transition easily into the fall this saves a little money and you can enjoy the pieces a little longer.

Misha Lulu is a really fun designer and the fabrics she uses are amazing and of great quality.Here is another outfit that she wore to her sisters first birthday party.Once again I bought the top in a 10 for length and she definately will be able to wear it for awhile. Shorts are an 8 and she could have worn a 7. So basically you can say Misha runs a little big.

You hear so much about vinatge clothes for adults but rarely for children. In a few months I will be apart of a fashion show where I will be  promoting my store Itsy Bitsy Closet but also doing a childrens vinatge segment. Bygone Babies will be the the title of the segment and  my models will be show casing some awesome clothes from my store along with clothes from my daughters closet. Ive always been a fan of vinatge clothes so my daughter naturally owns a few of her own pieces. I predict that childrens vintage will become more and more popular as the years go on.

Okay so I guess by now you know that I am a HUGE fan of Right Bank Babies. I happened  to go on Gilt.com as I do on occasion, to catch some good deals on childrens clothes, and I came across a sale for items $20 and under! Can you imagine my excitement!? Anyway I caught the sale a little late so there wasn't much left to choose from but to my surprise they had Right Bank Babies! So here's what I found...

Londons New Romper and Ready for Spring

London's 9 months!

I must say im pretty proud of myself for sewing my first romper by hand! Its not perfect but I thinks its great for my first time. Im definately going to make this my new hobby but I need to get a sewing machine to make them look more proffessional. While I do like to splurge on some of my daughters pieces I do know how to bargain shop. Pair one expensive piece with bargain pieces and you can have a fabulous outfit for less but look like you spent a fortune!

Getting to know Right Bank Babies

My all time favorite designer to dress my daughters in has to be Right Bank Babies! Their clothes are so versatile and best of all they grow with the child. For example a dress can turn into a top and pants can become capris or shorts, amazing! So here is a photo of my daughter wearing the RBB Ruffle dress and the RBB reversable skirt form the spring 2012 collection. Oh, and the reversable skirt is available in my online store for $55 sizes are limited!

Also here is her very first ruffle dress by RBB she wore this dress until she was 5 in a size 4t. Now her baby sister wears it as a dress and she  is 9 months!This dress is a costly $82 but  you get your moneys worth!
